Flower Girl And Ring Bearer
A ring bearer and a flower girl will often add a nice
touch to the wedding. The children that have been chosen
for these roles usually range from the ages of three to
nine. In the wedding they are to immediately precede the
bride.
The flower girl will often where a smaller design of the
bride's gown or a children's version of the bridesmaids'
dresses.
The ring bearer is usually wearing a younger version of
the usher's wear.
Many people will include other children into the wedding,
these are known as trainbearers. The job of these children
is to walk immediately behind the bride in pairs. There
can also be children used as candle lighters, who light
the candles before the Mother of the Bride takes her seat
If younger children are being used for these particular
jobs it is a good idea to have their parents seated near
the front of the church. This will help to give the
children comfort and encourage them to do their job to the
best of their ability. The children may also be
distracted, if this worries you a good idea would be to
have the children sitting with their parents during the
ceremony, so they will not be restless while at the altar. |
